The Creative Chicks Parade - Day One - Mod Podge Mayhem

Yipeee!!  Welcome to Day One of the Creative Chicks Parade - it's Mod Podge Mayhem!!  I hope you have your projects ready to share because I am looking for inspiration with the Mod Podge!

I have to admit that I'm a bit of a Mod Podge amateur - I've only used it on two projects - one being a life-sized puzzle of a kitten that I hung up in my purple bedroom during my elementary school years . . . and the other being these super-sized monogram letters that are decorating the girls' bedrooms.  To decorate these paper mache letters, I simply traced them onto the back of cardstock, cut out the tracing, and used Mod Podge to paste the paper on top of the letter.  After waiting for it to dry, I lightly sanded the edges of the paper so that it would neatly blend in and then slapped on a few more coats of Mod Podge over the top.  When the letter was dry, I added a cluster of scrapbook embellishments including paper flowers, decorative brads, and ribbon.

That's it!  These letters add a punch of color and fun - you should give them a try!!

AND...since I have a big 'ol jug of Mod Podge leftover, I am thinking that it would be fun to make a custom letter for a couple of you super readers!  Just leave a comment and your name is in the hat!  I will be selecting winners next week!

On to the linking fun!  Remember to link only your Mod Podge projects today.  Come back every day this week to link your other projects - isn't this fun?

AND, absolutely do not forget to check out all of the amazing blogs hosting the Creative Chicks Parade.  Lots of great giveaways, lots of project inspiration!
